This course is a lecture on the development of English. Its task is to present the participants with crucial developmental data and a sketch of the overall structure of the development of English. It will furthermore give an overview of the historical background of this development. This course will also give students the opportunity of coming into first contact with texts from the various stages of English of the past 1500 years.
Registration: via "WUSEL" during the official registration period.
Note: this course is offered every term. Attendance per term is limited to 105.

| Leistungsnachweis |
For those in Prüfungsordnung 2015, there will be two online tests during the lecture period. For all others, there will be a written exam (MAP) at the end of the lecture period at a date yet to be set, probably in the last week of July. |
