Tasks are not only central to student learning but also to planning and teaching in the EFL classroom. In this course we will firstly deal with some theoretical aspects concerning task-supported language learning as well as tasks and their relevance for lesson planning and teaching in the EFL classroom. Secondly we will take specific examples of tasks as a starting point and explore possibilities of approaching various topics in the EFL class.
The specific topics, texts and tasks for this seminar will be negotiated in the first meeting and the course programme will be finalized in the second meeting. A list of suggestions will be provided which can be modified by the participants according to individual preferences and interests.
