This is a required course in some MA and MEd study programs MA and MEd in English and American Studies, and an optional course in other programs. Please read your PO profile carefully.
While the course will focus on written and text-based language work, paying attention to 'academic' English vocabulary, register, and the production of coherent 'academic' writing, there will be some attention to building oral 'academic' English skills.
Registration will take place via WUSEL during the official registration period.
Please note that if you are not present at the first meeting and do not inform me (mcilwain@uni-wuppertal.de) immediately, you will lose your claim to a place in the course.

There are no requirements beyond having been accepted into a study programme MEd or MA English and American Studies.

| Leistungsnachweis |
Regular attendance, active participation and preparation as required. Assessment will be based on written homework, in-class assignments and class contributions. |
