Course participants will learn to explore selected English children’s literature from a linguistic perspective, using mainly tools from stylistics and corpus lingustics. On the basis of these observations, students will develop teaching materials for improving primary pupils’ L2 reading competence. Students may apply and evaluate those materials either in their own research projects or in the context of the next reading workshop of the interdisciplinary project EULE in February 2018. Parallel registration for a TEFL course is highly recommended.
