Advanced English Communication (C1B)
(36 Semesterwochenstunden / 3 Leistungspunkte)
This course is designed for students with advanced language skills. It has a strong focus on the development of speaking and listening competences and aims at improving the students’ fluency in English. On the basis of a wide range of materials and realistic contexts students will be given the opportunity to - organize and communicate their ideas relevantly and coherently - participate in social, academic and professional forms of communication - engage in discussions and debates - improve their ability to listen to and to comprehend native speakers - expand their vocabulary and knowledge of complex English phrases - consolidate their ability to use English grammar accurately - increase their general knowledge of world issues and current events - understand a range of real-world listening and reading materials
