Course participants will learn to explore selected English children’s literature from a linguistic perspective, using mainly tools from stylistics and corpus lingustics. On the basis of these observations, students will develop teaching materials for improving primary pupils’ L2 reading competence. During the following terms, students may apply and evaluate those materials in their own research projects and in reading workshops of the interdisciplinary project EULE (details to be announced). Parallel registration for a TEFL course is highly recommended.
Registration: Via "Elektronisches Vorlesungsverzeichnis" alias "WUSEL" during the registration period for the "Anglistik/Amerikanistik" department.
