This class equips students with basic analytical and planning skills prior to their school placement and Praxissemester. Theemphasis will be on teaching intermediate and advanced learners in secondary schools that offer opportunities for bilingual streams(Bilinguale Zweige) or bilingual modules (Bilinguale Module und AGs). However, participants will also learn how to observe, planand reflect upon lessons and lesson sequences in both bilingual and regular EFL classes. Participants will be encouraged todiscuss the teaching of different subjects (e.g. biology, history, fine arts or sports) in the target language, and to consider the use oftwo languages, English and German, to achieve dual literacy in content subjects.
