This seminar aims to equip students with basic planning and analytical skills prior to their school placement (Fachdidaktisches Praktikum Englisch – LPO 2003, BA, and MEd 07 or the Praxissemester – MEd 11, MEd 2014).
Students will learn how to plan and reflect upon lessons and lesson sequences in the EFL classroom (taking into consideration e.g. the current curricula and other relevant aspects). Classroom observation tasks will be discussed and lesson plans will be analysed. Oral presentations / teaching tasks by students are meant to prepare for ”the real-classroom-experience” and to convey further information on teaching issues.

LPO 2003: Completion of “Introduction to TEFL”, GLS A and B. Please hand in a copy of the required document in the first session.
BA: Successful completion of "Introduction to TEFL” and GLS. Please hand in a copy of the required document in the first session.
MEd 2007/2008: Success completion of EN II a-c
MEd 2011, MEd 2014: Successful completion of the D module as part of your BA.
